Installing Seller's Point

  1. Run SellersPoint Server.msi to install the POS service. For production use, it can be installed on the DVR, but it will run on any PC that has network connectivity to the DVR.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Run SellersPoint Viewer.msi to install the POS client.
  4. Run SellersPoint Viewer and connect using the IP address of the machine running the POS service for the Connection IP and the DVR's IP for the Alternative DVR IP.
  5. To set up the server, go to Edit->Server Configuration.
  6. Under the Cameras tab, choose the number of cameras in the system and enter the DVR IP address that the cameras are connected to. The default port should be fine.
  7. For each camera, set the text overlay settings. Be sure to choose the correct camera resolution (see the setup in the DVR if you are unsure). Click and drag in the box on the right half of the dialog to select what portion of the camera the text overlay will display on.
  8. Save and go to the Registers tab. Click on Add Register.
  9. If this is the first register that you're adding, you will need to upload the plugin for the type of system that you'll be using. To do this, choose "Upload new plugin..." from the Protocol dropdown. Navigate to the .plugin file and select it. The selected protocol should now appear in the dropdown menu. You then need to set the connection type and choose the port for the server to listen for transactions on. The name field can be anything and is only used by the viewer to identify the register. Save and close the Server Configuration dialog when you are done.
  10. If using TCP, configure your register to send transaction data to your server's IP address and the port number you specified in step 8
