Connection Type: Serial Data Connection

Data is sent to Seller's Point using a serial connection. To set this up, enable the journal port on the register and connect the journal port to the computer that is running the Seller's Point Server.

Wiring
The Radiant POS nodes output serial data via an RJ-12 port. Because this is a specialized method of sending serial data, we offer converters to turn Radiant RJ-12 serial into standard 9-pin serial, which can then connect directly to the computer's serial port, or to its USB port with a Serial-to-USB converter. We also recommend traversing the bulk of the distance between the POS and the DVR with an RJ-12 cable. These cables can be purchased pre-made, or they can be made by putting RJ-12 ends on Cat-5 Ethernet or another similar cable.

Setup
Once the cables are connected, the RJ-12 port needs to be enabled. To do this, contact Radiant with your store number and POS node number.

Other Radiant Systems

With other Radiant registers, Seller's Point will capture serial data via the pole display. To do this while using the pole display, a splitter cable is needed to send the data from the POS to both the pole display and to the DVR. To obtain a cable, please contact us.
